Oxford Parks and Recreation is now accepting registrations for its two summer day camp programs which are offered to Oxford children who have completed grades K through 8.
The “Huskies” day camp, for grades K through 5 will once again run for six weeks starting July 5 (Tuesday).
The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an option for “before care” from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. You can sign up for any of the weeks at the price of $110 per week or for all 6 weeks for $610. Before Care is an additional $25 per week. Huskies Camp will be held 4 days each week at Colonial Tavern and one day a week at Posypanko Park.
Activities include Arts & Crafts, sports and games, swimming, various trips, entertainers and lots of fun! Lunch is included on the 4 Colonial Tavern days. Each week of Huskies Camp a main theme will be incorporated into many of the week’s programs and activities.
We are also accepting registrations for The OPR Teen Travel Camp for kids who have completed 5th through 8th grades.
- Please note, children who have completed 5th grade, can chose to go to either the Huskies camp or the Teen Travel Camp. The Travel Camp runs Monday through Thursday each week starting July 5th. The first three days, we travel to a different destination for the day. Some trips may include: Norwalk Aquarium with Imax movie, Bowling and Pizza, Brownstone Adventure Park, Farmington River Tubing, Sherwood Island Beach, Laser Tag, etc. Each Thursday, we’ll go to Colonial Tavern for a pool party with a DJ spinning the fun tunes.
Travel Camp starts at 9 a.m. each morning and ends between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. each afternoon. Lunch is included at least two days each week.
The cost for Travel Camp is also $110 per week and you can register for any or all weeks. Before Care is available for Travel Camp for an additional $20 per week.
Register for either of our great summer camps by May 23 to guarantee your child’s space! From May 23 to June 1, a late fee of $25 per child will be assessed.
