December 4, 2010: Echo House Ambulance Corp and the Pine Rock Volunteer Fire Dept. #4 will host the second annual “A Day with Santa” event to rekindle the spirit of Christmas and benefit TEAM’s Valley Toys for Tots Program.
The event will be held at the Huntington Branch Library located in the Shelton Community Center, 41 Church Street, Huntington, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Children will meet Santa and receive a free photo. Entertainment will be provided by Center Stage Singers along with fun children activities such as caroling, sing along and Christmas Story Time. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
Parents are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy, book or donation to the event which will be donated to the toy drive.
The TEAM Valley Toys for Tots Drive, provides toys to over 1,300 children from low income families in the Lower Naugatuck Valley – children who otherwise might “go without” during the holidays.
“When families are struggling, they have to make decisions during this time of year between buying food, paying for heat or rent or buying the children Christmas toys. The Valley Toys for Tots program ensures that every child in the Valley can have a good Christmas,” said Diane Stroman, Vice President of Development.
