Tulips For Haiti

Boy Scouts from Troop 19 of St. Joseph’s Parish donated some of their proceeds of their fundraising tulip flower sale to a school in Haiti.

The school was destroyed by the recent earthquake that occurred there in January.

Proceeds of the sale are to support troop equipment, but scouts raised enough funds to provide Fr. Marcel with a check of $350 for his St. John’s School in Haiti.

The mission of Troop 19, St. Joseph Parish, Shelton, CT is to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Boy Scout Troop 19 meets weekly and participates in outdoor activities each month, including camping, hiking, and skiing.

The troop also is involved in community service projects.
