Twelfth Night At Derby Historical Society

Please join us as the Derby Historical Society marks the end of the Christmas season with its annual Twelfth Night event. 

This event features tours of our 17th century house by costumed docents. 

Spark up a conversation with one of our historical actors and take yourself back to an earlier time in American history.

Event Name: Derby Historical Society’s Twelfth Night Celebration
Date: Sunday, 01/12/2014.
Location: David Humphrey’s House, 37 Elm St, Ansonia, CT.
Time: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission: Suggested Donation: $5 adults, $3 seniors and children under 8.

Try our mulled cider and punch alongside our buffet. Partake in of some items which would have been served in this house during the American Revolution such as, Sally Lun, Hoppin’ John, Bubble & Squeak, Brunswick Stew, and corn pudding. There will also be baked goods to enjoy.

Go caroling thru Ansonia’s Historic Elm Street District with costumed Junior Docents and (weather permitting) Demonstration of colonial skills such as spinning and weaving will be displayed.

Be sure to visit our Gift Shop, it will be open during our event.

The Derby Historical Society is a regional historical society dedicated to preserving, maintaining and celebrating the rich and varied history of the Lower Naugatuck Valley. The Derby Historical Society welcomes all visitors and is also available to support researchers, school or other program needs.
