Police and firefighters responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Franklin Street and Route 67 at about 12:15 Tuesday.
One of the drivers was an off-duty Seymour police officer.
The officer, whose name was not released by police Tuesday afternoon, was not injured in the accident.
The status of the other driver was unknown as of 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Lt. Paul Satkowski said he did not have information on the crash yet.
The intersection was closed for about a half hour, while fire crews cleaned up the scene and tow trucks removed the two cars — which were each SUVs.
