Two Stratford men were arrested Sunday in connection to a Shelton convenience store robbery.
Police say George Siler, 21, and Anthony Parowski, 24, are being held in jail this morning pending an arraignment in Superior Court in Derby today (Monday, Dec 12).
The robbery was Friday (Dec. 9).
Police believe the two men planned the robbery, with Siler allegedly firing a shot inside the Buck Stop Convenience Store at 429 Shelton Ave. when a clerk didn’t move fast enough.
No one was injured.
Police obtained warrants to search residences in Stratford over the weekend, according to a prepared statement from police.
Siler is charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, fourth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, first-degree reckless endangerment and possession of cocaine. He’s being held on a $360,000 bond.
Parowski is charged with first-degree robbery, interfering with a search warrant, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He’s being held on a $650,000 bond.
