Two Charged In Ansonia Drug Bust

Police raided a residence on Olson Drive and lodged drug charges against two people.

Ansonia police and the Derby Police Department’s canine unit served a search warrant at 126 Olson Drive at 6:14 a.m. today (Aug. 31).

Police said they seized unspecified amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana.

There were also five children living in the residence and the drugs were within reach” of the kids, police said.

Two residents were arrested:

James Williams, of 126 Olson Drive, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and five counts of risk of injury to a child. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Evelyn Yancey, also of 126 Olson Drive, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and five counts of risk of injury to a minor. She is being held on a $25,000 bond.
