A verbal dispute between neighbors on South Main Street turned violent Monday night, resulting in two arrests.
Police said David Guliuzza, 42, and Michael Ljunquist, 24, assaulted a disabled man, after the man made vulgar remarks to them during the day Monday.
About 9 p.m. Guliuzza, of 759 South Main Street, and Ljunquist, of 4 May Street in Ansonia, allegedly barged into the disabled neighbor’s home and assaulted him, according to Lt. Paul Satkowski.
Police caught the two men a short while after responding to the scene.
Ljungquist was charged with first degree burglary, third degree assault on a disabled person, disorderly conduct, conspiracy to commit first degree burglary, and conspiracy to commit assault third degree.
Guliuzza was charged with engaging police in pursuit, interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct, inciting injury to persons or property, hindering prosecution, first degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first degree burglary, and conspiracy to commit third degree assault on a disabled person.
Both men were arraigned in Derby Superior Court Tuesday. Their cases were continued to June 27.
