SHELTON — Police are investigating a crash that killed two people on River Road in Shelton Sunday night.
According to a prepared statement from police, a Toyota RAV 4 collided with a BMW at about 11:30 p.m.
The BMW was carrying four people — 30-year-old Rakiem Reid of Derby, 26-year-old Meghan Nealy of Ansonia, 20-year-old Lily Pirulli of Monroe, and 31-year-old Adrian Miles of Ansonia.
Miles and Pirulli both died at the scene. Nealy was listed in critical condition. Reid was treated at a hospital and released, according to a prepared statement from police.
The Toyota’s driver, Minqiang Chen, 42, of West Hartford, was evaluated at the scene.
The details of the crash and what caused it are under investigation.
