SEYMOUR – Larry L. Bingaman, President and CEO of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA), issued the following statement regarding U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal’s visit to RWA’s Seymour Well Field on Monday, June 5.
The Regional Water Authority was thrilled to welcome U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal to our Seymour Well Field today. Sen. Blumenthal and U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy were able to secure nearly $3.4 million in federal funding for two of the RWA’s most critical infrastructure projects: HVAC and electrical improvements at Lake Gaillard Water Treatment Plant in North Branford, and replacement of a generator at an RWA well treatment facility in Seymour. This funding, part of the Omnibus Appropriations bill signed into law last year, will help to ensure that RWA customers can continue to enjoy clean, reliable water service without bearing the full burden of maintaining and upgrading the water infrastructure. We thank Sen. Blumenthal and Sen. Murphy for their support.
