The following information was posted on Facebook by the Seymour First Selectman’s Office.
It is referring to an apartment house fire that displaced dozens of residents earlier this month.

Many have reached out to us with a desire to help those affected by the fire on South Main Street last week.
We met with local aid agencies to figure out what their needs are.
The most pressing need is to find new housing.
Related to that, there is an almost universal need for direct financial assistance for first month’s rent on new housing.

The following items are also needed:
- Some children’s and adult clothing – no information on sizes yet
- Household furniture
- Bedding & towels
- Air conditioners (for medical reasons)
