Update: Road Closures From The Aug. 18 Flood

Good afternoon. Update of road closures from DOT

Over the holiday weekend, two locations along Route 53 in Weston and Redding were opened. 

Bridge 5420 carrying Route 6 in Southbury over Stiles Brook has been repaired and is reopen to two-way traffic.

Two different sites on Route 67 in Oxford were opened on Friday night — Route 67 near Route 42 and Route 67 near Old State Road No. 2.

Below is the latest road closure list remaining from the 8/18 Rain Event. 

Oxford
Rt. 34 E — Coppermine Road to Loughlin Road. Shoulder, roadway, & structure failures.
Rt. 67 E — East Street to Parking Lot West of Great Hill Road. Moderate roadway washout.
Rt. 67 E — Between intersections with Community House Road. Structure, wingwall and abutment has collapsed.

Seymour
Rt. 313 E — SR 728 to Rt 67. Possible structure damage.
