Update: Two Injured In Oxford Crash

An 82-year-old woman was injured Thursday after a head-on collision on Route 67 with another senior citizen.

It was one of two serious crashes on the road Thursday. Police have yet to release information on the other crash, which sent a woman’s SUV into a ditch.

At 7:36 p.m., police said Dolores Kager, of Oxford, was traveling south in a 2000 Volvo S70 the area of Old State Road 1 when she crossed the center line and struck a 1996 Toyota Camry being driven by Penelope Yerrington.

Kager suffered a head injury and was taken to Danbury Hospital by an ambulance from Beacon Falls.

Yerrington complained of neck and back pain and was sent to Bridgeport Hospital by Oxford Ambulance.
