DERBY — The Valley Community Foundation (VCF) announces the addition of Sharon Fitzpatrick, Executive Assistant & Office Manager, effective September 9, 2019. Ms. Fitzpatrick was offered the position after an intensive regional search.
She joins VCF staff members Sharon Closius, Valerie Knight-Di Gangi, John Ready and Beth Colette, in building philanthropy in the Valley towns of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, Shelton, and Oxford.

In her prior position, Sharon served as Office Manager and Executive Administrative Assistant, at a financial investment firm in New Canaan where she performed a wide variety of functions including: administrative support for the company’s executives, benefits administration, accounts payable and receivable and serving as staff liaison to offices in multiple locations. She previously served as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Ryan Partnership in Wilton
Sharon grew up in Stratford, and received her Bachelor’s degree in business management from Teikyo Post University. She and her husband have lived in Ansonia for more than 20 years. Sharon enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, going to Broadway shows, visiting local farmer markets and spending time with family and friends.
