Seven of the Valley Republican Town Committees have formed a coalition to facilitate their ongoing campaign efforts.
The towns involved are Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton. They are unofficially calling the group the Valley GOP. They have a Facebook page, with that same name.
The first event for the Valley GOP is a dinner to be held on Saturday, March 24, at JJ Sullivan’s, 557 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will go to 10 p.m.
The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for local, Valley voters to meet the U.S. Congressional candidates and hear them speak about the issues that concern us.
Christopher Shays and Linda McMahon, as well as a few others, will be attending.
Tickets are $35 for dinner (cash bar) and preferably will be purchased in advance. For tickets please contact your local Town Committee or call Judy at 203 – 906-3602.
Any funds raised will benefit the individual Town Committees, not the candidates.
