SHELTON — On Thursday June 9, Valley Regional Adult Education celebrated graduation.
The ceremony was held at the school building located at the Belden Center in Shelton. 61 adults earned their high school diplomas this year with over 50 students in attendance at that ceremony.
The graduates represented the five towns that are serviced by VRAE — Ansonia, Derby, Monroe, Seymour, and Shelton. Ten scholarships were awarded during the ceremony. Cynthia Auguste of Ansonia, Willie Sanders of Stratford, and Damien Wilson of Shelton were the student speakers.
