Cheerleaders from Shelton and Ansonia helped lift the Connecticut Spirit All Stars to first place in a National Championship recently.
Emerald teammates from Connecticut Spirit All Stars in Hamden took first place in the Level 4.2 national championship summit competition at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Their team won a bid that represented only the top 10 percent of the nation’s all-star cheerleading squads.
Their season included seven first-place wins, two second-place wins, three national titles and the honor of being the best 4.2 Senior team in the country.
Shelton residents on the team are Brooke Sanderson, Dominique Stanziale, Riley Kelly, Megan Sampson, Jada Amatuzzi, and Ciani Mykel.
Ansonia resident Andrea Piccirillo is also a team member.
