VALLEY SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL is excited to announce that its annual spring tour, VSF2U, is set to begin the first week of May with its production of Shakespeare’s tragic Scottish tale of ambition and regicide, “Macbeth.”
It will commence on Tuesday, May 1 at Caloroso Eatery and Bar in Shelton and continue on to the Southbury Library on Friday, May 4 and Shelton’s Plumb Library on Saturday, May 5.
With only five actors playing all the roles, Executive Director Tom Simonetti’s adaptation promises to be swift and intense. Fans of VSF past productions will recognize some of their favorite performers returning for this presentation: Jeremy Funke in the title role, Jessica Breda as his deeply troubled Lady Macbeth, as well as Kristen Kingsley and Mitchel Kawash. They will be joined by newcomer Stephen Saxton.
Reservations for the May 1 performance at Caloroso Eatery and Bar can be made at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3378178. Please contact Southbury Library and Plumb Memorial Library respectively for reservations for their performances.
