Vandals tagged the back of Tri-Town Plaza in Seymour, spray-painting graffiti on everything from the outside walls to the dumpsters behind the plaza building.
“It was quite a bit of graffiti,” an annoyed Ted Holly, the property manager, said Tuesday.
Holly said he found the graffiti Tuesday morning when he arrived at the property. The spray paint stretches across most of the back of the building, he said, and on several doors and pieces of equipment.
Holly said cameras will be installed soon at the site to ward off future vandalism attempts.
The graffiti at the site includes the number 34 and the words “E‑Money” and “Volcom,” Holly said. He estimated a few thousand dollars worth of damage was done.
Holly said the Seymour Police Department is investigating whether other similar incidents were reported this week. They are evaluating spray paint cans left behind to see if any fingerprints were left, Holly said.
