Veteran Anchor Dennis House Slated To Return To Connecticut Television

NEW HAVEN — WTNH (News Channel 8) announced Tuesday the station has hired veteran journalist Dennis House, who recently left WFSB after 25 years in Hartford.

House will be the station’s chief political anchor,” according to a prepared statement.

House and his wife, WFSB anchor Kara Sundlun, recently tested positive for COVID-19. They are at home recovering.
 
It’s been a great privilege to serve the people of Connecticut for 28 years and I am super excited to be joining the News 8 team to continue bringing the citizens of this great state the events that shape their lives,” House said in a prepared statement.

House will also be hosting a Sunday political show on channel 8. It is scheduled to begin production in 2021.
