Lauren Cust, Steve Frank, and Juliet Taylor as well as other members of AMVETS Post 43 (the “Internet” post for OEF/OIF/GWOT/OND veterans) and The Female Veterans Committee are looking for your help!
Lauren, a wounded warrior from Operation Iraqi Freedome, and her team will be running several races and obstacle courses and would like to gain sponsorship in order to raise money to continue the mission of both AMVETS Post 43 and The Female Veterans Committee.
These races include:
- The 2013 Merrell Down & Dirty National Obstacle and Mud Run (Hartford at Riverside Park June 23)
- Run or Dye (Rentschler Field, July 20)
- The Electric Run (Hartford, August 10)
- The Hope For The Warriors 5K Race/Walk (Shelton, August 18)
- The Warrior Dash (Thompson, September 21)
- And the Tough Mudder (Tri State in New Jersey, October 12).
If you are interested in sponsoring the individuals running, you can do so by mile, by obstacle or any other way you are interested in sponsoring.
The funds raised will go to AMVETS Post 43, Female Veterans Committee. These funds will be used to continue outreach and support to fellow veterans in need, advocacy for veteran’s issues and education of benefits and the public.
