ANSONIA — Talk show host Mike Cannici recently interview Ansonia High School football co-captain David Cassetti, Jr. whose team just captured a state championship.
Cassetti, in addition to being named an all-NVL and all-state player, was named “Connecticut High School Football Player of the Year,” by Max Preps, a high school sports news site. Click here to read the write-up from the site.
For the year, Cassetti ran for nearly 2,000 yards and 33 touchdowns, Max Preps reported.
