Water Main Break In Ansonia

A water main break in Ansonia caused water-pressure problems Thursday morning.

Here is the information from the Regional Water Authority:

Regional Water Authority construction crews are responding to a water main failure on Church Street at the intersection with Howard Avenue in Ansonia this morning. 

Griffin Hospital lost water pressure briefly, but the area of the break has now been isolated and water pressure in the area is beginning to stabilize. 

The shutdown to repair the pipe will affect 12 customers.”

It’s the second water main break in two days in Ansonia. There was a break in a pipe on Benz Street Wednesday afternoon.
