SHELTON — SHELTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WEEKLY RESPONSES

On 08/25/20 at 00:27 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with two engines and a ladder truck to a fire alarm sounding at the Hilton Garden Inn at #25 Old Stratford Road. There was no fire.

On 08/25/20 at 11:27 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine to power lines arcing against a tree branch on Ojibwa Trail.

On 08/25/20 at 11:30 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm sounding at Amici’s Restaurant at #500 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. 

On 08/25/20 at 11:40 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a car fire on Riverdale Avenue. The fire was out upon arrival of firefighters.

On 08/25/20 at 1:56 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with two engines and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Sikorsky Building at #1 Far Mill Crossing. There was no fire. 

On 08/25/20 at 10:40 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with two engines to an odor in the building at the Heather Ridge Condominiums on Trap Falls Road. 

On 08/26/20 at 8:17 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a report of smoke in the building at #549 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. An overheated motor in an air conditioning unit caused the smoke. 

On 08/26/20 at 9:58 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with a unit to an illegal open burning at #105 Hillside Avenue.

On 08/26/20 at 3:00 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with an engine to an odor in the building at the Heather Ridge Condominiums on Trap Falls Road.

On 08/26/20 at 3:47 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Hyatt House Hotel at #830 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. 

On 08/27/20 at 9:21 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with a rescue truck to #3 Pine Needle Drive for a carbon monoxide alarm activation. 

On 08/27/20 at 10:00 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm sounding at the Aquarion Water Company Treatment Plant at #505 Huntington Street.

On 08/27/20 at 4:02 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to a transformer fire on a utility pole in the area of #26 Village Drive.

On 08/27/20 at 4:09 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to power lines down at #129 Longfellow Road.

On 08/27/20 at 4:10 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with a ladder truck to a tree and power lines down on Nature Lane.

On 08/27/20 at 4:23 pm White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine to a tree against the house and the odor of propane at #73 Hickory Lane.

On 08/27/20 at 5:27 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to power lines down on Ripton Road near Longfellow Road.

On 08/27/20 at 5:39 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding at #3 Brookfield Drive.

On 08/27/20 at 6:46 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm sounding at #170 Thoreau Drive. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. 

On 08/27/20 at 8:33 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Helen DeVaux Housing Complex at #91 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 08/27/20 at 8:40 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at #27 Redwood Circle. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm.

On 08/27/20 at 10:32 pm Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a rescue truck to a motor vehicle accident on Nichols Avenue at Isinglass Road. 

On 08/28/20 at 8:56 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine to a tree and power lines down in front of #106 Rocky Rest Road.

On 08/28/20 at 10:36 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine to #3 Murphy’s Lane for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding. 

On 08/28/20 at 11:05 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to a fire alarm activation at the Disanto Technology at #10 South Constitution Boulevard. There was no fire.

On 08/28/20 at 9:05 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded to with an engine to an open burning at #26 Ridgefield Drive.

On 08/29/20 at 1:09 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with a rescue truck and a ladder truck to a mutual aid call at the Ansonia Fire Department on North Main Street.

On 08/29/20 at 2:11 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded with an engine to #6 Cali Drive for a carbon monoxide alarm activation.

On 08/29/20 at 7:24 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to an open burn at #20 Manton Street.

On 08/30/20 at 3:08 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded with a unit to assist EMS at #123 River Road.

On 08/30/20 at 5:37 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded with an engine and a ladder truck to an odor of gas in the building at #405 Coram Avenue.

On 08/30/20 at 7:23 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of #951 Howe Avenue.

On 08/30/20 at 7:37 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded with an engine to smoke in the area of Fairfield Avenue and Coram Road.
