The Seymour Pumpkin Festival wishes to announce our 48th annual festival will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at French Memorial Park in Seymour.
The festival raindate will be Sunday, September 29, 2013.
On festival day the park will be full of unique arts and crafts, with over 110 vendors expected to attend.
There will also be food, rides, and children’s contests. Please visit our “pick of the patch,” a raffle showcase of crafts.
Stop by festival headquarters for more information and to enter the raffle to win an item donated by one of our craft vendors. Each program will also contain valuable coupons from local merchants.
A small sample of some new craft vendors for 2013 will include: specialty hot sauces, wax art for the children to make, and wallets, frames, bracelets, and headbands made from original comic books. One new food vendor this year will offer a variety of fritters.
We hope all children will participate in our costume and pumpkin decorating contests held at 12 noon near the Festival Headquarters. The contests each year are a big hit with the children.
Admission is free. No vehicle traffic, pets, or bikes are allowed in the park on festival day in order to help insure the safety of families attending the festival.
Festival day is the one day of the year that brings families and friends, from near and far, together to celebrate and enjoy the fall season. It’s a true Seymour tradition that has been carried on for the last 48 years thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers.
