At approximately 11 a.m. on June 23, the Shelton Fire Department dispatched one company to the Plumb Memorial Library for a kitten rescue.
A kitten had apparently become trapped in a well next to the building and needed a hand getting out.
The members arrived shortly and quickly removed the kitten from its situation. Soon after the cat was freed, a young girl and her neighborhood friends gathered by the scene, and were thankful to be reunited with their cat “Whiskers.”
