The following is a list of phone numbers and links that could be helpful during the blizzard expected to have a serious impact on the state Friday and beyond.

ANSONIA

Ansonia issued a Code Red alert Thursday saying that all public buildings would be closed Friday.

There will be a parking ban on all city streets starting at noon Friday and ending at noon on Sunday. All City of Ansonia public and school parking lots will be open for off street parking.

The message asked residents to limit driving on city roads during the storm to allow for emergency vehicles and road crews to perform their functions

The Code Red message said further announcements would be sent out as needed.

In a Code Red message Thursday, First Selectman Kurt Miller asked residents to avoid travel if possible during the brunt of the storm on Friday.

As a precaution, he said the town would be closing all municipal offices, including the library, Friday and Saturday.

SHELTON

In Shelton, the city closed the Plumb Memorial Library and Huntington Branch Library Friday and Saturday.

The Senior Center will also be closed Friday and Saturday.

The Community Center on Church Street is closing at noon Friday and will be closed all day Saturday.
