SHELTON — A 68-year-old woman died after drowning in a pool on Sept. 3, police said.
The woman’s name was not released. Police said she was from outside the U.S. and was visiting family in Shelton.
Police said they responded to the family’s Huntington Street residence with EMS at 4:15 p.m.
“A family member arrived home and discovered a 68-year-old woman unresponsive in the pool,” according to a prepared statement issued Sept. 4.The woman was pronounced dead at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport.
Additional details were not released.
