SEYMOUR – A 61-year-old woman was struck Tuesday (June 4) by a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street at Bank Street, police announced.
The accident happened at 4:23 p.m.
The woman was crossing Main Street when she was hit by a vehicle turning south onto Main Street from Bank Street, across from the Seymour train station.
“The female had sustained serious head injuries and was transported to Waterbury Hospital,” according to Seymour police.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with police.
No names were released.
