Ansonia Plans ‘Naugy River Bash’ Sept. 27

The Ansonia Nature Center in conjunction with Ansonia’s 125th anniversary is hosting a celebration of the Naugatuck River along the Ansonia Riverwalk — the first ever NAUGY RIVER BASH Saturday, Sept. 27 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Take a stroll along the river and stop by at the corner of Division and North Division streets for a diverse agenda of music, magic, food, exhibits, games, and activities for the entire family.

Also, keep out for a surprise or two.

The day kicks off with an exhibition of magic in the Riverwalk Gazebo with Pete and Chris Amusements, New England’s ONLY Two-Man Kid’s Magic Show! They give an ULTRA high-energy performance that captures kids’ attention and doesn’t let go!

At noon, The Nameless Trio,” a local favorite, will go on a musical journey from bluegrass to blues to folk to rock to jazz and everywhere in between. The Nameless Trio has been stirring up the Southern New England music scene with their handmade freestyle blend of acoustic music and boasts a wonderful repertoire of original and cover songs.

Sit and enjoy the magic and music while savoring offerings from Antonio’s Restaurant and The Pantry.

A free day of wonderful entertainment, education, and the great outdoors as only the Ansonia Nature Center could orchestrate. Well worth the time of Derby Greenway regulars to cross over and join in on a premier celebration.
