Children’s Events at the Plumb Memorial Library
The Children’s Dept of the Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster Street, Shelton, will be offering exciting programs for the month of December.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS:
Merry GRINCH-mas: Saturday, December 1 from 11 am-12 pm. Grinch fans from ages 1 – 12 and their caregivers are invited to come to a Grinch-tastic fun event. In the spirit of giving, we will be collected mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for Spooner House. Registration is required and begins on November 16.
DIY SNOW GLOBES: Saturday, December 29 from 11 am-12 pm. Create your own winter wonderland” using a jar and other materials during this hands-on workshop. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required and begins on December 8. This program is geared to ages 5 – 12 years old. Caregivers must attend the program.
NOON YEAR’S EVE PARTY: Monday, December 31 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Ring in the NOON Year by crafting a noisemaker, adding wishes to the
New Year to our 2019 STAR, then will count down to noon and end with pizza. Registration is required for both children ages 1 – 12 and their caregivers. Registration begins on December 8.
STORYTIMES:
Monday-Bookworms meet on December 10 and 17.
Tuesday-Fun for Little Ones meet on December 4, 11, 18.
Thursday-AlphaBits meet on December 13 and 20 . All three storytimes take place at 10:30 am- 11:00 am and are geared to children from ages 0 – 5 years
old and their caregivers. No registration is required.
Wednesday, Story to Art- Bi-weekly Storytime take place on December 5 and 12 from 10:30 am- 11:00 am and is geared to children from ages 3 – 5 years old
and their caregivers. No registration is required.
TWEEN AND TEEN PROGRAMS
We also will be offering the following special programs for children:
Life is Art craft program for tweens ages 10 and up is offered every Thursday, at 6pm‑7:30pm It will not be held on December 27 No registration is required.
