Events For Kids At Plumb Memorial Library In Shelton

The Children’s Dept. of the Plumb Memorial Library, 65 Wooster Street, Shelton, will be offering Children’s Book Clubs in March 2019.

NEW PROGRAMS
BOOK BUDDIES BOOK CHAT:

Attention all 1st and 2nd graders, come and join a brand new celebration of literature with Mrs. Fritsch. March’s title is Amelia and Eleanor Go For A Ride by Pam Munoz Ryan. After listening to the story, there will be a lively discussion of the book and a craft or activity related to the theme. The program will meet on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 5pm-6pm (NEW TIME) Registration required, and begins February 25, 2019. 

NOVEL IDEAS BOOK CLUB:
Attention 5th and 6th grade readers join Miss Maura for a NEW monthly book club. March’s title is The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin Each registered reader will receive a FREE copy of that month’s book. Please read book prior to attending our monthly meeting. At each meeting we will discuss the book, engage in story related activities while enjoying refreshments. The program will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Registration is required and begins Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in person or by phone (203) 924‑9461. Book Club is sponsored by exc-EL Grant.

BETWEEN THE PAGES BOOK CLUB: A monthly book club specifically for our 3rd and 4th grade readers. Each registered child will receive a FREE copy of this month’s book which is Super Turbo Saves the Day by Lee Kirby Children are expected to have read book prior to coming to our Book Club meeting. We will discuss the book and engage in story related activities! Registration opens on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Plumb either by phone (203) 924‑9461 or in person. The program will be held on Wednesday, March 6 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Book Club is sponsored by exc-EL Grant.
