Former Ansonia Resident Faces Child Pornography Charge

A California man is facing a child pornography charge after an investigation by Ansonia and Seymour cops.

In a prepared statement, Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch said Ansonia and Seymour detectives began an investigation of 36-year-old Aaron Bresky in November 2009.

At the time, Bresky lived in Ansonia.

During the investigation, a search warrant was served at Bresky’s home on Cottage Avenue in Ansonia where his computer and media storage devices were seized and analyzed,” Lynch said. An examination of the computer and media devices revealed child pornography stored on the equipment.”

Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Bresky with possession of child pornography, Lynch said, but Bresky left the state before the warrant was granted.”

Bresky was located living in California where law enforcement arrested him for being a fugitive from Connecticut,” Lynch said. Bresky posted his bond on the California charges, and then travelled back to Connecticut to surrender on the warrant held by this department.”

Bresky was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Derby May 1.
