SEYMOUR — From the Office of the First Selectwoman:
“My office received notice yesterday (July 12) that Bank Street downtown between Columbus and Main Streets will be closed to traffic next week for work on a gas line.
Sidewalks will remain open and buildings and businesses on the street will still be accessible during this time, but the street will be closed to vehicles.
Work was supposed to begin today but we were able to delay the project a week to allow us the opportunity to give notice to area residents.
Notices were sent to businesses and residents in the downtown area this morning via USPS.”
