“Going To A Candidate’s Debate”
We can’t sing this song in Derby, there is no debate schedule between mayor Dziekan and Joe DiMartino.
How are the voters supposed to gauge the candidates knowledge of the issues that face Derby?
Door-to-door visits and phone calls cannot provide the information to voters that a debate most certainly would.
I think the incumbent mayor should send a written invitation to the Democratic challenger so that the voters of Derby can make a more informed choice.
If the candidates do not want to get the ball rolling ; perhaps the Valley Independent Sentinel can take the lead.
Come on Gene, make it happen.
