The resident said they reported the crime to Derby police, and shared the video in the hope that others would be reminded to lock their own vehicles.

Cops regularly remind residents to make it more difficult for any would-be burglars by: always locking vehicles, not leaving keys inside them, and not leaving belongings of value in plain sight.
