SHELTON — A health inspector with the Naugatuck Valley Health District was charged Thursday (July 8) with groping a waitress.

Police charged Pran Gjeloshi, 61, of Hamden, with fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

The health district’s website lists Gjeloshi as an employee.

According to a prepared statement from police, a 19-year-old woman who works as a waitress at an undisclosed restaurant in Shelton accused Gjeloshi of touching her inappropriately and making unwanted advances toward her.

Gjeloshi allegedly did so while at the business conducting an inspection.

Gjeloshi is free after posting a $5,000 bond. He’s due in court in Derby later today (July 9).
