Adele D. Fers, age 89, of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Edward Fers, died with her family by her side on April 27, 2017 at Griffin Hospital.
Born in Derby on October 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine (Gudz) Domareck.
Mrs. Fers was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Ansonia, graduating from Ansonia High School in 1945. She was a devout member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Church, enjoyed volunteering at bingo, and will be long remembered as a dedicated and loving mother.
She is survived by her devoted children, Patricia Fers of Ansonia and David Fers of Norwalk; sisters-in-laws, Vera J. Domareck of Seymour and Minnie Fers of Wallingford; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Myron and Russell Domareck.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday, May 1, 2017, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Panikhida at 6:30 PM.
