Adele Lombardi, age 91 of Derby entered into rest in the Griffin Hospital Derby on Saturday May 25, 2013. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Lombardi.
Mrs. Lombardi was born in Bridgeport July 25, 1921 daughter of the late Matteo and Josephine (Rossi) Pepe, and has been a resident of Derby since 1945.
She was a retired assembler having worked at the former B.F. Goodrich, and the former Seal Products in Naugatuck. She was an active communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Paugassett Hook and Ladder Co. in Derby.
She is the beloved mother of Michael Lombardi, Sr., and his wife Linda, the cherished grandmother of Dawn Olenoski, and Michael Lombardi, Jr. and the loving great grandmother of M.J. Olenoski, and Nikolas Olenoski. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Nicholas Pepe, and her two sisters Mary Kentosh, and Genevieve”Nadine” Golding.
Friends may greet her family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Wednesday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’ s Church.
