Agnes Gallagher, age 75, wife of the late Richard Gallagher and longtime Ansonia resident currently of Waterbury, entered into eternal rest Nov. 27.
She was born April 8, 1941 in Derby, daughter of the late William & Viola Stevenson. She worked as a data reporter for Pop Fasteners Division of U.S.M. and was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Ansonia. She was a former secretary and past president of the church and was active member of United Methodist Women, knitting prayer shawls.
She leaves 2 sons, David Gallagher of Waterbury with whom she resided, Donald Gallagher of Lithia, Fl., daughter Laura Scaife of Ansonia, brother William Stevenson of Derby, and grandchildren Kelly O’Connor, John, Richard & Jessica Scaife, Courtney Verissimo & husband John, and Marissa & Madalyn Gallagher. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Robert Stevenson and sister Carol Eyman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at The First United Methodist Church, 47 Franklin St. Ansonia. Friends may call on Thursday at church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
