Alan “Big Al” Cremonie Sr., age 59, husband of Janet Gahan Cremonie and resident of Bethany, passed away March 1.
He was born Feb. 13, 1958 in Derby, son of the late Alphonse and Shirley Walsh Cremonie.
He worked as a bus driver for DuFour Bus. Co. in Oxford, and also the B & B, Yellow Coach, Laidlaw and All-Star Transport Companies.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 2 sons, Nicholas & Alan Cremonie Jr., both of Bethany, his mother-in-law Gladys Gahan of Seymour, special niece Carol Temelsiz of Stratford, brother Richard Cremonie of S.C., sister Phyllis Adams (Gary) of Florida, brothers-in-law Victor Spigarolo Jr. of Charlestown, N.H. & Richard Gahan (Carol) of Wrentham, Ma., and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Spigarolo and sister-in-law Beverly Cremonie.
Friends may call at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home (www.jenkinskingfh.com), 12 Franklin St. Ansonia on Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through the funeral home.
