Albert James Breda, Sr.

Albert James Breda, Sr., 84, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 27, 2022, at Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA

Albert was Born on July 19, 1937, in Ansonia CT. The eldest of four sons born to James Vincent Breda and Selina DiDonato Breda. He was a retired, self-employed Auto Trimmer. His previous careers included milkman and working for Overhead door and ARA Services. Al served in the Army. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, NRA, Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge. He was serving as the current 3‑year trustee and past Chairman of the board at the Palmdale Elks lodge #2027.

Alberts death was preceded by his wife of 38 years Janet Ellis Breda, and Brothers James Breda and Timothy Breda. After Janet passed in 2017 Al moved to California to live with his daughter, son-in-law and Granddaughter. He quickly made many friends who will miss him deeply. 

Al is survived by his aunt Philomena Breda Kitchen of Eerie, PA, brother Andrew Wick” Breda of Derby, CT, son Albert Breda and wife Rebecca Zigmond Breda of Shelton, CT, daughter Laura Breda Pecoraro and husband Thomas Lee Pecoraro of Palmdale, CA, stepdaughter Laura Vasas Scapellato and husband Giorgio Scapellato of Derby, CT and stepdaughter Mary Brooks of Fairfield, CT. Cherished Grandchildren Dawn Breda, Jessica Breda, Christopher Brissette and Sara Pecoraro and Great Granddaughters Madison Nicole Breda and Remy Brissette. Al is also survived by his beloved nephews Jim Breda, Jonathan Breda, Tim Breda, Tom Sobol, John Sobol, Todd Sobol and nieces Tina Blaskewicz, Kristin Breda and Alyssa Breda and their families.

Al’s Burial is planned for September 10, 2022, at Mt. Saint Peters Cemetery Deby, CT. A celebration of life will be held afterward. Further details to be announced.
