Albert Redente, age 92, husband of 54 years to the late Mary E. Bracci Redente and lifelong Ansonia resident, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family June 2, 2016.
He was born April 8, 1924 in Ansonia. He was the son of the late Antonio & Elvira Ruffino Redente, and attended The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. He was the owner & proprietor of the North Main Package Store until retirement. “Bert” loved flowers of all kinds and was an avid gardener. He also enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by 2 sons, Robert (Carol) & John (Sandy) Redente, both of Ansonia, and 4 grandchildren, Robert Redente Jr. of Virginia, Lisa Redente of Naugatuck, Sherry (Richard) Honeyman of Georgia and Laura (Steven) Heffern of Naugatuck, 9 great grandchildren, Cassandra & Sarena Redente both of Virginia, Emily, Sarah & Amanda Redente of Naugatuck, Patrick & Peyton Honeyman of Georgia and Lucas & Brayden Redente of Naugatuck. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by 3 brothers, Larry, Remo & Emedio Redente, and sisters Irma Ostrowsky & Helen Redente.
