Alexander J. Adamski, Sr. age 92 of Florida, formally of Ansonia, passed away Sunday, Sept. 13.
He was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on April 13, 1917, son of Michael and Agnes Machowski Adamski. He married Corrinne Scaife on November 7, 1936.
He was predeceased by his wife, who died Nov. 2, 1995.
Alex worked and retired from Farrel Corp. in Ansonia, where he loved to work on cars in his back yard. Alex and Corrinne enjoyed living in New Hampshire for many years as well as traveling to Florida.
Mr. Adamski is survived by one son Alexander J. Adamski, Jr. (Doris) of Branford, and three daughters, Earlene Zachariasen (Don) of Florida, Rhoda Berger of Florida and Bonnie Lewis (Paul) of New Hampshire.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is also predeceased by his granddaughter, Shannon Adamski, and his brother, Michael.
Alex was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. He loved life, his family and always had a joke to tell and enjoyed playing Santa Claus for many years.
The National Cremation Society is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will have a memorial at a later time in Connecticut.
