Alfred P. Clemente, age 73, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on October 18, 2018, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Marcarelli Clemente.
Mr. Clemente was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 23, 1945, son of Margaret Inorio Clemente. He grew up in New Haven and moved to Ansonia in 1972. Alfred worked in construction and was employed by Laborer’s Union Local 455 in East Haven for fifty years and proudly served as an officer for twenty years. He enjoyed bowling, trips to the casino, playing cards and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Kathy, he leaves to cherish his memory, a loving daughter, Michele-Lee Bradshaw (Michael) of Oxford, a caring brother, James Clemente (Carolyn) of West Haven, cherished grandchildren, Victoria, William and Amelia Bradshaw, adored nieces and nephews, James Clemente Jr. (Lori), Renae Clemente, John Franco Jr. (Nan), Marc Franco (Kelly), Helyn Sheftz (Michael), Robert Brelsford (Jessica), Laura Cormier (Jeff) and Jill Bagoulla (Youssef). He was predeceased by a brother, Nicholas Clemente.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday October 21, 2018, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, his funeral will begin at 11:15 am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Griffin Hospital and Hewitt Health & Rehab for their kindness and quality care during his stay.
