Alice Healey, age 88, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.
She was born in Derby on February 9, 1930, the beloved daughter of the late George and Sadie Starchak Healey.
Alice was a devout communicant of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles/St. Mary Parish of Derby and was a member of the church choir for many years.
Alice worked in the sales department of the former Woolworth Department Store of Derby for many years.
She enjoyed going to family picnics in Southbury and spending time with family and friends.
Alice will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.
Alice’s loving family includes her cousins William H. Starchak, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Southbury, Kevin Starchak of Woodbury, Robin Starchak of Southbury, Leo Smith of Tariffville, Natalie Hook of Terre Haute, IN., Thomas Gardella and his wife Arlene of Seymour, Michael Gardella of Oakville and Carole Guilfoile of Hingham, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles/St. Mary Parish, 212 Elizabeth Street, Derby.
Interment in the family plot at Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby will be private. Visitation will be held at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am .
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Alice’s memory may be made to Our Lady Queen of the Apostles/St. Mary Parish through the funeral home.
