Alice R. Scinto, age 94, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2023 at Bishop Wicke Health and Rehab, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bridgeport on March 12, 1928, daughter of the late Matteo and Mattea (Rossi) Scinto. Alice was a graduate of Harding High School. She spent her career working as an administrative assistant for General Electric and enjoyed attending family gatherings, reading books, and painting landscapes.
Alice is survived by her nieces Deborah Scinto-Dumitre and her husband Dorn Dumitre and Janet Carruba, great-nephews David Carrubba and Brian (Kari) Carrubba, and longtime devoted caregiver Nellie. She was predeceased by her brothers Frederick T. Scinto and his wife Emma Scinto and Dante Scinto, and sister Marge Pierro.
Friends are invited to attend Alice’s Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday February 8, 2023 at 1:00pm at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Rd., Stratford. Funeral services have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT 06468.
