Alice (Swantek) Levesque Ajello, 84, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 30, 2018, at The Hebrew Center for Health & Rehab, West Hartford. Alice was the beloved wife of Thomas Ajello.
She was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Derby to the late Stanley and Alice (Soltis) Swantek. She had resided in Enfield for several years and then in Southbury. Alice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother, and aunt, who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. She was a very devout catholic and a parishioner of Holy Family Church. She also had a passion for polka dancing and was a member of the American Polish Society.
In addition to her husband, Thomas, she is also survived by her children, Dennis Nesteruk of East Windsor, Cheryle Gagnon of Rhode Island, Bonnie DeForge of Broad Brook, Eileen Fisher of Windsor Locks, Jason Levesque of Enfield, and Jennifer Levesque of Enfield; her nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her godchild, Laura Rossi of Windsor; as well as her siblings, Irene Novotny of Vermont, Barbara Dybus of Derby, Sonia Goen of Seymour, and George Swantek; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Alice was predeceased by her son, Allen Nesteruk; and a sister, Marion Swantek.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family Saturday, July 7, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Enfield, Interment will then follow in the Enfield Street Cemetery, Enfield.
