Allan R. Webb, former Ansonia and NFL football player

Allan R. Webb, son of the late Reed and Katherine Webb passed away on July 18, 2011 at the age 80. Webber” as his friends and family referred to him was born in Washington D.C.

He later moved to Connecticut where he was raised and graduated from Arnold College. 

As a former professional football player, Allan played for the New York Giants. Following his playing career he continued on with the Giants as an assistant coach under the direction of his close friend John E. McVay. 

After leaving the Giants he was briefly with the Cleveland Browns before a long career with the San Francisco Forty Niners as their director of Pro Personnel. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Jan, daughter Lisa, son Marc and his wife Katherine, grandsons, Maurice and Nicholas and Niece Taylor Ann. He will be missed by his devoted best friend Toby Tyler Lesser, his faithful companion. 

Friends and family are invited attended a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., Stanford Sunken Diamond Baseball Complex, Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations In Memory of Allan R Webb to either, the Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation, Cardiology Unit, 1501Trousdale Dr., Burlingame, CA, 94010 or to Mercy High School Burlingame, 2750 Adeline Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010.
