Alys Elizabeth Young, age 91, of Shelton, entered into rest on Friday September 28, 2012 in Shelton Lakes Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Roscoe Young.
She was born in Haverhill, New Hampshire on June 25, 1921 daughter of the late George and Mary (Brown) Boardman and was a resident of Bristol before moving to Shelton 15 years ago.
Alys was a health aid, at the Forestville Nursing Home, for 20 years before her retirement.
She is the beloved mother of Mary Cebulski and her husband Robert of Shelton, Florence Thibodeau of Lincoln, ME and Paul Young and his wife Donna of Davie, FL. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Susan Young in LaMirada, California, 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons Homer and Richard Young, one daughter Rita Knox and several siblings.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Graveside Memorial Service on Nov.2, 2012 at 11 am at the Swiftwater Cemetery, Bath, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice,100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton, are entrusted with the arrangements.
